Participation Requirements

The Iowa Health Information Network (IHIN) Participation Agreement is currently under development and not yet available.

The participation agreement will establish essential policies to address:

  • compliance with applicable laws
  • cooperation with other Iowa HIE participants
  • expectations to use the Iowa HIE only for permitted purposes
  • limitation on the future use of data received through the IHIN
  • privacy and security measures required to be in place before using the IHIN
